I am wife to a magnificent man and mother to five wonderful children. Three of my children were born in the Northwest and two were born thousands of miles away in Liberia, West Africa. Birthplace is no matter, all of my children were born in my heart. This is our journey.

Glad I'm not that chicken.

We have been buying free range eggs for awhile now. I have high cholesterol and free range eggs with a rooster are healthier. We have a serious egg habit around here and my mother-in-law has a serious chicken habit. This week when we got back from the coast we went over to pick up our eggs.

With a smile she told us that we need to be careful getting our eggs home that night. As you can see there is one mutant egg in the mix. The box would not close on that side.

All I can say is that I am glad I am not that chicken.

Ha! We have eggs like that about once every couple weeks. Just had a huge one yesterday, in fact. We're always amazed at how the little chicken can push out those huge eggs! They're double yokers, ya know? All the better for you!
