I am wife to a magnificent man and mother to five wonderful children. Three of my children were born in the Northwest and two were born thousands of miles away in Liberia, West Africa. Birthplace is no matter, all of my children were born in my heart. This is our journey.

Melon to melon

We saved the watermelon for our camping trip and oh how excited he was. The fact that it was too heavy for even him to carry did not sway him.

He couldn't wait and admittedly, neither could we.

It seemed like it would take forever for them to get it open.

But then, success! There it was in all it's glory and it was fantastic. Sweet and juicy...

...and he grew it. We did have a few moments where the power got to his head and he struggled with some watermelon bossiness but we managed to bring him back down to earth and it was enjoyed by all.
