Last Sunday we found ourselves ready a little early. Steve had a great idea to have verse races.
He would pick a verse and then the kids would race to find it. 
We had others join as they finished getting ready. It was fun and hilarious at times. (The hilarity came when Steve had them look for Hezekiah 9:2. ;-) )
